Protective orders are becoming more instrumental in breaking the cycle of domestic violence now that order information and updates are more accessible to law enforcement through the Indiana Protection Order Registry.
Monroe County is working to improve its protective order process and help survivors move past the violence. The county will be hosting a panel discussion on domestic violence this Thursday August 8th. It will be held in the Council Chambers of Bloomington City Hall at 6 pm.
Panel members include Monroe County Clerk Linda Robbins; Middle Way House Executive Director Toby Strout; Monroe County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Bob Miller; Indiana State Police officer Kevin Getz; and Monroe Circuit Judge Francie Hill.
