Some Enchanted Evening: Jazz And Popular Song Love Ballads

"Some Enchanted Evening" is a program of jazz and American popular-song love ballads that progress from discovery and longing ( Frank Sinatra's performance of the title tune, Nat King Cole's of "When I Fall in Love") to the settled intimacy of Madeleine Peyroux's "Half the Perfect World" and Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong's "Our Love Is Here to Stay." Other artists setting out on this musical quest for romance include Diana Krall, Chet Baker, Norah Jones, Sarah Vaughan and Fred Astaire.
