Researchers and drug companies are making progress on preventing and treating Alzheimer’s disease.
In just the past month, Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly announced one of its drugs has successfully targeted a sticky protein linked to Alzheimer’s, reducing the disease’s progression by 34 percent. Researchers from Indiana University have also found evidence that the disease might be treatable when people are younger than scientists previously thought.
