"Serenade" Concert by the Indiana Wind Symphony

That same year, conductor Richard Strauss showcased the orchestral work in a Dresden performance, attracting the attention of renowned conductor Hans von Bülow, who played a role in advancing Strauss’s career. While “Serenade” has a classical formal structure, its melodic content hints at vibrant themes rich with passion and lyricism, which Strauss explores in his later works. The Indiana Wind Symphony’s concert featuring "Serenade" will include various chamber ensembles, focusing on pieces composed during the Romantic Period.
