Our annual 5K Run/Walk is held to raise money for the ALFA program in Northern Haiti. This is a partnership project between the Friends of Haiti from St. Bartholomew Parish and our friends in Limonade, Haiti. ALFA is an abbreviation for alfabetizasyon which is Creole for literacy. The program teaches adults to read, write, arithmetic, civics, human rights, Haitian history, and public health. Join us in our effort to help equip market woman and peasant farmers in Haiti with the tools to improve their lives and give them the dignity that every human being deserves. Join us for rice and beans after the race. Pets are welcome. The first dog and first youth to cross the finish line receive a prize.
