The Bloomington Lucky's Market grocery store is permanently closing as part of "restructuring efforts" by the company, according to a Wednesday news release.
The release says the company explored multiple alternatives, but ultimately landed on closing various locations and laying off staff at the Niwot, Colorado headquarters.
The Bloomington store will close Feb. 12, and customers can expect "deep discounts" on in-store merchandise from now until then.
Locations that will remain open include Traverse City, MI; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; Columbia, MO; Melbourne, FL; North Boulder and Fort Collins, CO.

Lucky's Market is closing its Bloomington location, effective Feb. 12. The store opened in May 2015.
Bloomington resident Chris Dzierba says he's been going to Lucky’s Market since it opened.
“I have a hard time not seeing them continue to grow,” he says. “People like so much variety in their food nowadays, and having a nice selection of things.”

The store has begun offering significant discounts on its merchandise.
Lucky’s markets itself as a local and organic grocery store. It's headquartered in Colorado. According to the grocer's website, Lucky's operates 35 stores in 11 states.
Lucky's calls the Bloomington closure "unfortunate." According to USA Today, the Bloomington closure is one of many across the country.
WFIU reached out to Lucky’s Market headquarters in Colorado but has not received a response.
