One of the most successful songwriters in jazz also happened to be one of the biggest pop stars of the 1940s: Miss Peggy Lee. Peggy Lee got her start as the singer in Benny Goodman’s Orchestra, and went on to record dozens of hits in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Many of these hits she had a hand in writing, including songs like “It’s A Good Day,” “I Love Being Here With You,” and “Fever.” Join us for an exploration of Peggy Lee, the singer-songwriter.
