A Place For Film - Heartland Interview: 'Somebody's Hero'

Heartland Film Festival Interview - Somebody's Hero

In this interview, I sit down with writer/drector Darin Beckstead and producer Guillermo Suescum, the team behind Somebody's Hero, a film about a man caught on tape foiling a robbery who decides to dress up in a costume and fight crime.

The filmmakers discuss their thoughts on the film: how it got made, how they differentiate themselves from other films in a similar genre, and the deeper message behind the film.

Somebody's Hero recently won Best Feature at the Coney Island Film Festival, and it's playing at the following times at the Heartland Film Festival:

  • 12:45 PM Sat, Oct 15 AMC Showplace 17
  • 5:30 PM Tue, Oct 18 AMC Showplace 17
  • 5:30 PM Wed, Oct 19 AMC Castleton Square
  • 10:15 AM Sat, Oct 22 AMC Showplace 17
