Like Dancing About Architecture

Our composer wrote this piece in response to a commission. The overture was played as part of the opening of a theater in Vienna. The opening chords followed by long pauses are a great test of a new concert hall. The sound check is built into the composition! This concert was also supposed to include new compositions by Carl Meisl, but Meisl simply re-used some of the composer's music for his "compositions."
