Anya Peterson Royce, IU Professor of Anthropology and Comparative Literarure

Anya Peterson Royce is a true renaissance woman. She's a professor of Anthropology and of Comparative Literature, and she serves as Professor in the IU Ballet Department, and Adjunct Professor of Folklore, Women's Studies, and of Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

Her academic degrees and publications require a full page of print, and to fill those gaps in her life, she writes poetry, gardens, and indulges in photography. She even plays the cello (though she admits she'll never make it to the ranks of Janis Starker).
