A Mooresville man drowns in a tubing accident at Lake Monroe. An Avon man driving the boat pulling the inner tube was arrested.

The students were boating with 20 other friends Saturday afternoon before anchoring to swim.

Bustamante’s body was recovered from the pond before conservation officers arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is under investigation.
