A district court heard a case Friday alleging the state is prioritizing certain groups when providing government-issued licenses. The ACLU of Indiana and the National Immigration Law Center filed the case on behalf of five Indiana residents from Haiti who want to get driver’s licenses.

Agencies returned more than $609 million in reversions to the General Fund in Fiscal Year 2023.

There’s two more months of revenue to be tallied. And the lottery is currently expected to send $340 million to the state this year. That’s money that supports teacher retirement and police and firefighter pensions.
