Officials in Clay County have declared a local disaster declaration through July 18 after government servers were targeted in a cyberattack.

The state agency is investigating the crash and says criminal charges are pending.

The suspected gunman fled after the shooting about 10 a.m. into a tent in a wooded area near the Eel River in southern Clay County before surrendering to officers about four hours later, state police Sgt. Matt Ames said.

The proposed expansion would add more than 250 beds, a majority of which would host ICE detainees.
