Critical race theory

The video of six educators across Indiana was taped by activists posing as parents while working for Accuracy in Media (AIM), a right-wing media organization.

In Carmel and elsewhere in Hamilton County, schools were accused of teaching critical race theory and pushing liberal ideologies on students.

Parental rights has become a rallying cry for those who oppose mask mandates and believe that schools are teaching students critical race theory and promoting LGBTQ identities.

The Senate education committee adopted an amendment from Sen. Linda Rogers to address concerns from teachers and parents. Rogers said her goal is to bring parents and schools together.

The Indiana House approved a controversial school content and curriculum bill Wednesday, after more than an hour and a half of discussion on the House floor and making some changes to the bill earlier this week.

The bill would require all school curricula to be posted online for parental review and ban schools’ ability to implement concepts like critical race theory.
