Agriinstitute, a Danville-based agricultural advocacy group, will host the August 13 debate. It’s scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ Purdue Extension Building.

Former Vice President Mike Pence was the subject of a pivotal debate question, with the candidates largely agreeing that he had been correct to protect the results of the 2020 election against Trump’s pressure campaign.

Pence announced Tuesday that he had secured the requisite number of donors just two weeks before the debate in Milwaukee.

Bloomington mayoral candidates expressed similar priorities at a public forum Wednesday but differed on a few key issues.

Republican candidate Diego Morales refused to participate in the debate. Morales previously cast baseless doubts on the 2020 election results, though more recently has said he accepts President Joe Biden as the winner.

Sen. Todd Young, Democratic candidate Tom McDermott and Libertarian James Sceniak will meet in a debate on Oct. 16.

Though most Democratic presidential candidates are vocal in their support of expansion of health coverage, many candidates do not agree on the means or time frame for this goal.
