Every year, local, state, and federal officials work to improve election security, and incidents of fraud are rare. Yet recent polling shows the debunked claim of voter fraud in the 2020 election fuels suspicion and an increase in threats to election workers.

Officials from the Indiana Secretary of State’s office and the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency also joined the discussion. They said they’re prepared for a range of theoretical disruptions on Election Day.

Vanderburgh County Election Board members execute a mock election Thursday, Sept, 29. The votes are entered via touch screen. The machine then prints a small paper ballot to be tabulated.
