As part of the UAW’s new “targeted” strike strategy, only three assembly plants began striking after the deadline: a Ford plant in Michigan, a General Motors plant in Missouri and a Stellantis plant in Ohio.

Bedford was not named on the first day of the nationwide strike as one of the plants to participate. UAW Local 440 President Derek Cronin said that could change any time.
