It’s been more than a year since Indiana removed the requirement for a permit to legally carry a handgun.

About 13,000 Hoosiers had their handgun carry permits rejected or revoked in the last two years. Under the bill, opponents said, they wouldn’t know they’re barred from carrying.

House Republicans are trying again to eliminate Indiana’s license requirement to carry a handgun in public.
