IU Grad workers

Many graduate instructors canceled classes for the day and gathered at Ballantine Hall on IU Bloomington's campus to protest.

The graduate union strike was suspended on May 10 for the summer. IGWC-UE plans to resume the strike in the fall unless an agreement is reached with the administration.

In a vote Monday, 1,008 graduate students who support a union voted “yes” to a strike, compared to 23 who voted “no.”
