Michael McRobbie

McRobbie arrived at IU in 1997 as the university’s first vice-president for information technology. In July 2007, he become IU’s 18th president.

IU law professor Steve Sanders filed a complaint with the Office of the Public Access Counselor in October, saying the $582,000 contract was not discussed or voted on in a public meeting and, therefore, violated Indiana’s Open Door Law.

In October, IU Maurer School of Law professor Steve Sanders published an article in which he said university trustees asked McRobbie to remain on staff another six months after his retirement on June 30.
