Newfields did not offer a reason for Burnette’s sudden departure in the announcement.

After a search earlier this year, Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette is in the second month of her new position as President and CEO of Newfields art museum, park, and garden in Indianapolis.

Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette will officially begin her role as Newfield's president and CEO on Aug. 1.
