Organization Day is the ceremonial start to the legislative session. After elections, it's also when newly-elected lawmakers are sworn in.

Speaker Todd Huston said his caucus will prioritize a holistic look at the property tax system. That includes tax relief, changes to the state’s business personal property tax and reducing funding disparities between school districts.
