Duke Energy's latest 20-year plan would delay closing the Gibson coal plant by three years.

Eligible projects could include LED lighting and electrical work, high-efficiency, solar panels, geothermal energy, and high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

The highest recent fuel adjustment was by Duke Energy — where the average customer paid an extra $22 a month from July through September.
