School board candidates would have to choose Republican, Democrat, independent or nonpartisan to go next to their name on the ballot.

Indiana Gov.-elect Mike Braun wants to expand Indiana's school voucher program, increase funding for school safety and raise wages for teachers.

Incumbents and challengers have until June 20 to file paperwork to get on local ballots.
