A proposal from President Donald Trump could greenlight the summer sale of e-15 ethanol.
E-15 contains more ethanol than other fuel blends. Conflicting studies on whether the fuel is better or worse for the environment have some officials at odds.

"It’s going to be more economic stability knowing we’re going to have it year-round," he says. "We’re going to see fewer fluctuations in the market."
In this week’s U.S. Senate Debate, Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) also spoke about the importance of ethanol to Hoosier farmers.
"Ethonol is a clean fuel, it’s an extraordinarily good fuel," Donnelly says. "It is something that makes money go in the pockets of our farmers instead of the sheikhs in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East."
But not everyone agrees. In an ad, conservative think tank Americans For Prosperity says many cars are not engineered for higher e-15 gasoline. The group opposes the measure, along with many oil companies,
