The Indiana University chapter of sorority Kappa Delta was placed on a cease and desist last week by their national headquarters. IU placed a cease and desist on the sorority Monday.
Cease and desist disciplinary status means all social activities are suspended and restrictions are placed on new member activities.
Heidi Roy is the communications director at Kappa Delta’s national headquarters. She says in a statement that the IU chapter is on restricted status as they investigate a report of inappropriate behavior of a few individuals.
Kappa Delta’s chapter president at IU, Julia Mayberry, says the sorority is declining to comment at this time and does not want to give details.
Holly Vonderheit, the executive director for strategic communications at IU, confirmed the cease and desist but did not offer any other information.
