Monroe County Public Library Will Cease All Operations Until April

The Monroe County Public Library announced Wednesday the closure of all its locations and suspension of all library services until next month.

MCPL had previously planned to conduct drive-up library service due to the increasing amount of COVID-19 cases in Indiana.

The Bloomington location, Ellettsville Branch, Bookmobile, Van, and homebound services will all cease operations until April 6.

A notice from MCPL says patrons should keep any and all currently checked-out materials until the libraries and materials return slots have reopened. Late notices will not apply, and all due dates have been extended to May 1.
