All state parks in Indiana are now free to enter.

In a statement Saturday, the Department of Natural Resources said it was temporarily suspending entrance fees at all its locations.

It didn’t say how long fees would be suspended.

The changes are aimed at reducing the risk of spreading coronavirus.

While all locations remain open, it’s restricting access to individual offices. Contact information will be listed at main entrances of offices with restricted access.

The department is also closing some sections within its properties like pools and enclosed picnic areas. It is refunding fees for prepaid group reservations.

It’s also offering to waive fees for people who choose to cancel reservations at its campgrounds, inns and cabins.
