Columbus, Indiana is honoring new Vice President and Columbus native Mike Pence.
City workers installed the signs Friday morning, reading, "Hometown of Michael R. Pence, United States Vice President,"
The signs, located on U.S. 31 on the north side and on the west side on State Road 46, were put up just before Pence was officially sworn into office in Washington, D.C.
Columbus has a population of about 46,000 and is 50 miles south of Indianapolis.
