The owner of a building housing the Gnaw Bone antique market says lighting caused a fire that leveled part of the market.
Fire Crews responded to the market along State Road 46 around 6:45 Thursday evening, only to find flames shooting from the roof.
“I know for a fact there were three of our volunteer fire groups that were here, they did a great job,” said Charles Wright, who owns the building and property.
The fire did not burn any of the other vendor tents at the market and Wright hopes to have it back open soon.
“I have a lot of great tenants that rent and does the outside flea market stuff and they want to keep going,” said Wright.
Wright has enough insurance to cover the damages. No one was hurt in the fire, but a man who lives in the building that burned in the fire lost everything.
Anyone who wants to help that man can call Wright at 812-988-4827, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
