The City of Bloomington reported an employee who works in City Hall tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday.
The employee began to experience symptoms Saturday, and coworkers who have been identified as close contacts have been notified, a release said. No members of the public were exposed to the employee while they were at work.
This is the city’s third confirmed employee COVID-19 case this month and the 98 th since the start of the pandemic.
One city worker has died of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to the release.
