Mayor Hamilton tests positive for COVID-19

According to a tweet Wednesday morning, Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton is working remotely while he recovers from COVID-19. 

Hamilton tested positive Tuesday, the city said. Its official Twitter account also stated that because the mayor had been following strict masking and distancing guidelines due to the recent surge in cases, he had no close contacts.

Hamilton contracted COVID-19 last in July 2020. According to the most recent data from the city, as of Dec. 8, 12 city employees have tested positive for COVID this month.
