Indiana Conservation Officers have recovered the bodies of two missing Indiana University students from Lake Monroe.

Officers located the bodies of the victims Tuesday morning in 18 feet of water in an area east of the Paynetown Marina.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources identified the two men as Kelly School of Business students 19-year-old Siddhant Shah and 20-year-old Aryan Vaidya.

Police say the students were boating with friends Saturday afternoon before anchoring to swim.

Crews used side scan sonar and scuba divers all day Sunday and Monday to search the area where the men were last seen in the water, but high winds and rough water created obstacles for officers conducting the search and delayed the recovery.
