A new sporting goods store is scheduled to open Monday in Bloomington in what used to be the site of a Marsh grocery store.
Academy Sports + Outdoors has 285 stores, according to its website. The Bloomington store will be the company’s eighth in Indiana.
“You’ll have a lot of fun in here,” store director Mike Seybold said. “You’ll be amazed when you walk in the door and see what the store looks like.”
Academy will have a three-day grand opening, starting Monday and featuring gift cards valued at between $20 and $500 to the first 150 customers each day.
The company said it will donate $5,000 in merchandise to the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington.
