Noah Apgar faces seven felony charges – five for rape, one for strangulation and one for criminal confinement.

An IU student pleaded “not guilty” in court Wednesday on charges for two rapes on separate days at the same fraternity house.

Noah Apgar, 20, was arrested Tuesday after two female IU students said Apgar assaulted them – one on Sept. 6 and the other on Sept. 13.

The rapes are alleged to have happened at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house, where Apgar was a member before being suspended.

Apgar faces seven felony charges – five for rape, one for strangulation and one for criminal confinement.

According to a probable cause affidavit, IUPD questioned witnesses from both nights and one of the women completed a sexual assault kit. It also said surveillance camera footage from inside the fraternity house reinforced aspects of one accuser’s story.

Apgar went back to jail after Wednesday’s hearing, the prosecutor’s office said. His bond is set at $250,000 for a surety and $500 cash.
