Join us for a screening of Beethoven in Beijing, a documentary that chronicles the Philadelphia Orchestra’s historic 1973 journey to China and explores the cultural impact of music during a pivotal moment in global history.

This screening is presented in advance of two related events: the Philadelphia Orchestra’s visit to Indiana University on March 25, and the host’s upcoming return trip to China this spring — their first visit back to their home country and hometown since being adopted.

The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Diaxuan Ai, a doctoral composition student at Indiana University, and filmmaker Jennifer Lin, offering additional insight into the film’s themes and contemporary cultural connections.
