"Our Beautiful World" Concert by the Indiana Wind Symphony

"Our Beautiful World" Concert by the Indiana Wind Symphony

“Our Beautiful World” concert will showcase a repertoire that celebrates various cultures, the beauty of our world, the majesty of the Earth, and the gift of music. This concert features the original motion picture soundtrack of the Universal Pictures film "The Sugarland Express," a collaboration between Steven Spielberg and John Williams.

Since 1974, Williams has composed soundtracks for nearly all of Spielberg's films, including many of Hollywood's most beloved titles. Although "The Sugarland Express" was modestly successful and little-known today, the score contains musical gems. Originally written for harmonica, this version spotlights the solo flute, performed by our flute soloist, Carl Butler, Principal Flutist with the Indiana Wind Symphony.
