Uncover the stories of lesser-known war heroes and recognize the heroic contributions of all our veterans.

Celebrate the honor and patriotism of our nation’s many veterans. Plus, take a deeper dive into the incredible stories of some lesser-known heroes, shedding light on the sacrifices of Americans during the first and second World War.

Monday, November 6
7:00 PM – Her War, Her Story: World War II
Witness the powerful stories of the women who served during World War II. From the United States’  Home Front to the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, this hour-long documentary demonstrates the honor and patriotism of America’s female World War II veterans.

Airing on TIU World.

Friday, November 10
9:00 PM – Over There: Hoosier Heroes of the Great War
Hear the stories of six soldiers and one nurse who left their Indiana home to serve in the first World War. Discover the sacrifice of Second Lt. Aaron Fisher, who rose above racial discrimination to save countless lives in France. And meet First Lt. Samuel Woodfill, the only Hoosier recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor from WW1. Plus, learn how Lottie May Berry took her lifesaving nursing skills to Europe.

10:00 PM – Salute to Service: A Veterans Day Celebration
Join us in commemorating the brave contributions and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans. Hosted by Jon Stewart, this musical celebration features the US Army Field Band with special guests Mickey Guyton, Amanda Shires, and Mandy Gonzalez.
