Electric Vehicles Complete Around-The-World Trip

Two electric vehicles completed an around-the-world tour in 188 days. The two vehicles, "TREV", a scooter, and "Monotracer", a high-tech motorcycle successfully completed their journey in about six months.

The goal of the journey was to alert government officials and car manufacturers that people want to use emissions-free vehicles in daily life.

Charging Up

The crews of the vehicles did face some difficulties during their journey.

Problems occurred in China and Russia where crews had to manually charge the battery. Despite the setback, crews said that the vehicles drove well.

The Future

"TREV" was build by students and will carry on as a learning tool. The organizers hope to plan more emissions-free tours are in the future.
