Dedicated: An Interview With Grammy Winner Kurt Elling

Just last week, NPR's Felix Contreras noted that when it comes to winning a Grammy Kurt Elling is always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Turns out that his ninth nomination was a charm for the Chicago singer, however. Elling took home Best Jazz Vocal last night for his recent CD Dedicated to You: Kurt Elling Sings the Music of Coltrane and Hartman. In an Afterglow program last September, Elling spoke with me about his new CD, much of which is featured in the hour-long show:
