Indiana's State Forests

The Sycamore Land Trust recently purchased 600 acres of Brown County land to keep the wilderness area from being developed. Stewards of that land say now that the area is a preserve, there are other challenges to maintaining a forest.

This week on Noon Edition, we'll talk with caretakers of Brown County's and other southern Indiana forests about issues they're facing--including drought-damaged trees and invasive species.

You can join us for a live chat at  WFIU.ORG/NoonEdition, follow us on Twitter at Noon Edition or call into the program at  812-855-0811.

Noon Edition airs Friday at 12:06.
