The lone debate in Indiana's 2024 U.S. Senate race was a sedate exchange between Libertarian Andrew Horning and Democrat Valerie McCray, as Republican Jim Banks declined to participate.

Democrat Valerie McCray and Libertarian Andrew Horning will participate in Tuesday night's U.S. Senate Debate. Jim Banks declined the Indiana Debate Commission's invitation.

The three candidates have divergent views on almost all of the top policy issues this election cycle.

“Frankly, Banks has got so much money that he could just hide until his victory speech on Election Day, and he’s been doing that.”

Both of U.S. Rep. Jim Banks’ opponents — Democrat Valerie McCray and Libertarian Andrew Horning — accepted debate invitations in early July.
