The clinic will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S. Walnut St.

Bloomington Animal Care and Control is providing on-the-spot approval to people willing to provide care for shelter dogs for one to two weeks.

Since 2014, members have used Bloomington Indiana Lost and Found Pets to reunite animals and their owners. The group has over 22,000 members, slightly more than a quarter of the size of Bloomington.

At least 10 Indiana shelters are among more than 285 shelters across the country participating in the Empty the Shelters adoption event May 2-8.
