Humane Association, animal shelter offer walk-in vaccines

The Humane Association has vaccine clinics available on the first Sunday every month.

A walk-in vaccine clinic for cats and dogs will be offered Sunday by the Monroe County Humane Association and the City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control. 

The clinic will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S. Walnut St.  

Subsidized rates are available. Residents should bring valid documentation with them. 

Cats must be in carriers, and dogs must be leashed. Pets showing signs of illness or aggression may be turned away. 

Services include mandated rabies vaccinations, as well as nail trims, anal gland expressions, microchips, and preventive measures for flea, tick, and heartworm. 

The Humane Association has vaccine clinics available on one Sunday every month this year.
