A science teacher at Bloomington High School South wants to empower her students with information and the creative freedom to dream up big ideas for a better climate future.

A hybrid block schedule will be implemented with 60-minute class periods. Each day, different classes will be held.

A letter from MCCSC said the change was due to “disparities and biases” that occur because the high school schedules are not aligned.

The student was referred to juvenile probation for possession of a firearm on school property, which is a level 6 felony, Bloomington Police Department Captain Ryan Pedigo said.
