Bloomington utilities

An error during fiber-optic cable installation caused sewage to leak into a retention pond on Bloomington’s far east side.

We talked to utilities operators and community organizations to answer this question from a concerned citizen.

Utilities wants a new campus at the site of the former Winston Thomas wastewater treatment plant property while public works wants to purchase the current utilities property.

Residents were not actually double billed, just accidentally sent two bills due to a printer issue.
