Police say officers responded Wednesday after receiving a report about the discovery of human bones near the 1000 block of West Acuff Road. A forensic anthropology team is assisting with efforts to identify the remains.

Some of the bodies had been at the funeral home since March. Police also found the cremated remains of 16 people.
