President Pamela Whitten and Vice President for Public Safety Benjamin Hunter discussed topics they haven't addressed publicly in a listening session with the College of Arts and Sciences.

Protesters gathered outside a conference room in the Indiana Memorial Union where university president Pamela Whitten was hosting a listening session.

The college is the university’s largest academic unit. It includes the Media School, the School of Art, and the School of Global and International Studies.

The council was created in response to an ongoing conflict about working conditions for graduate students. Graduate student workers at IU have been organizing since Fall 2019, protesting stipends and compensations.
