The Monroe County Commissioners unanimously approved a petition to rezone a 4.1 acre property at the corner of West Airport Road and State Road 45.

The proposal is for a new gas station, complete with office space and an arcade, west of Bloomington.

Wawa is planning to build 60 stores over the next eight to ten years.

The Chicago suburb’s 37 gas stations must close during those hours under a new ordinance designed to curb crime.
