Tuesday's storm left extensive storm damage around Lake Monroe. Staff at Hoosier National Forest are still assessing the damage on its trails.

The Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday it would reopen trails 2 and 3, both of which lie south of the creek and the main disturbance area. 

The campground area was the most heavily damaged by the tornado and will not be accepting any new reservations for the remainder of 2023.
